Microscopes for the development of Education

Lucky that we don’t have to suffer that much because of the absence of technology because of lack of funding. In our science laboratories, we have barely nothing with us but a microscope, a few chemicals, and other basic laboratory apparatus, like test tubes and graduated cylinder. But apart from that, we have nothing with us. Our laboratory is even a broken room, with leaking ceilings when it heavy rain pours. Indeed, studying in a rural school is hard but it also propels us strive harder and not to depend so much in what is not around.

Last month, a generous politician donated several laboratory apparatus – microscopes, balance beam (which we don’t have ‘til he gave it to us), and many more. I just wonder why is microscopes are essential. Yes, I admit, we can pursue experiments without a stirring rod, or pipette, or burette, but never without a microscope.

Then, I have thought, no one will ever be successful in working in a laboratory unless he has or he knows how to use a microscope. Thank God, our school, aside from the politician’s gift, were able to buy low cost microscopes that we can now use. Now, my school has student high power microscopes, student low power microscopes, and teaching microscopes.
